When Juliet was two months old, her parents moved her from Canada to North Africa, via a fortnight-long QEII trip to Italy then a two-day drive to Marseilles where they caught a boat to Algiers. Little surprise then that she followed suit and had dragged her own daughter to Australia, Africa and America by the age of two. One of the founders of Mr & Mrs Smith, the editor-in-chief of the boutique hotel guides was understandably a little worried her daughter’s first words would be ‘room service, please’ – so she was relieved when she was happiest at roadside food truck in Texas. Today she hopes that her daughter Kitty never stops calling NYC ‘New Nork’. Favourite family moments have included the posh purple pool with underwater music at Berkshire’s Coworth Park.
